SCREEN-PRINTING WORKSHOPS

Looking for an interesting idea for a class trip?

Our workshops are a fun and inspiring way to introduce children and teenagers to the world of printmaking. Participants learn the basics of screen printing, see how a print is made, and above all — get to try the technique themselves.

The workshops work great as a creative alternative to a traditional class trip, a complement to art classes, or an extra attraction during a themed day or school event.

It’s a mix of learning, hands-on work, and team building, resulting in a hand-made piece that every participant takes home.

Why is it worth it?

Learning by doing

Instead of just talking about the printmaking technique, we let students experience it themselves and see the whole process from the inside.

Creativity and experimentation

You don't need to know how to draw. Especially in the longer format, we work with collage, so everyone can take part in the design process.

Group bonding

Designing the artwork together and then printing it engages the whole class and creates space for collaboration, sharing ideas, and working together.

Mobile studio

We can come straight to your school. We bring the necessary equipment, paints, and materials, and set up the workstation.

A hand-made keepsake

Every participant leaves the workshop with the result of their work — a bag, T-shirt, poster, or a print on their own clothing.

Who is it for?

We can tailor the workshops to the age, size, and experience of the group. They work well for children and teenagers, art-focused classes, high school and technical school groups, and even university students. No prior experience with graphic design or screen printing is required.

Two workshop formats

We can tailor the program to the age of participants, group size, and the time you have available. We offer two formats — from a short introduction to screen printing to the full process of creating your own design. This means the workshops aren’t just an extra attraction — they can become an integral part of the program and a way to creatively expand on its theme.

FORMAT 1
Discovering Screen Printing

During the shorter workshop, we talk about the history, principles, and fun facts about screen printing, and show how the screen works and what the printing process looks like.

Then we move on to practice — each participant prints a design we’ve prepared in advance onto a bag, T-shirt, or other material, on their own.

Students can also bring their own T-shirts or hoodies and give them a second life with a print.

We learn the technique → we print on our own → we take our work home

FORMAT 2
From Idea to Your Own Print

In the longer format, participants learn the whole screen-printing process — from the first idea to a finished T-shirt or bag.

In practice, students design a collage-based pattern together in groups. Then they choose the paints together and watch the process of preparing the screens, exposing, and washing them out. Finally, they print the prepared designs onto bags, T-shirts, or their own clothing and cure the print.

We design the pattern → we prepare the screens → we mix and choose the paints → we print on our own → we cure the print → we take our work home

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

We tailor the program to the age of participants. We can prepare workshops for children, teenagers, and university students alike. We adjust the difficulty level, pace, and teaching style to match the group.

No. No prior skills or experience with graphic design are needed to take part in the workshops. We show everything step by step, and every participant can print their own design.

We work with both smaller groups and entire classes. For larger numbers of participants, we can split students into smaller teams or adjust the number of stations and the way the session is run.

It depends on the format you choose. We can run a shorter session where students learn the basics of screen printing and print a ready-made design, or a longer workshop covering the whole process — from creating the design, through preparing the screen, to printing it themselves. Typically between 1.5 and 4 hours.

Yes. We encourage bringing T-shirts, hoodies, or bags that can be given a second life through screen printing. Before the workshop, we share information about which materials work best for printing.

Yes. Our studio is mobile, so we can come straight to your school and set up a station on site. We agree on space and technical requirements before the workshop.

Of course. We can create dedicated artwork inspired by your school, a specific event, an anniversary, a class topic, or a project the students are working on. In the longer format, the design can also be created together with participants during the workshop.

Yes. We work with professional paints designed for screen printing on textiles. Once properly cured, the print is durable and withstands repeated washing.
